SP Sport Maxx GT

The SP Sport Maxx GT is Dunlop's Max Performance Summer tire developed for the drivers of pure sports cars, powerful coupes and high performance sedans. SP Sport Maxx GT tires are designed to offer outstanding driver feedback and responsive handling.

The SP Sport Maxx GT uses a highly refined carbon black tread compound technology from Dunlop Motorsport molded into an asymmetric tread design featuring firm tread blocks and a continuous middle rib.

These features work together to keep more of the tire on more of the road more of the time, maintaining constant road contact to impart more responsive handling and high-speed stability. The tire's internal structure includes twin steel belts reinforced by Dunlop’s Hybrid Jointless Band (JLB) spirally wrapped Aramid to provide high-speed durability while minimizing weight and reducing temporary flatspotting. The tires feature a rayon cord casing and unique bead to enhance high-speed capability and ride quality.

Asymmetric Tread Design




Asymmetric tread design provides improved aquaplaning resistance. The continuous centre rib increases stability and precision. The asymmetric groove arrangement enhances grip on wet and dry surfaces.

Flatter tread profile




The new generation of Dunlop tyres features a flatter tread profile with a 4-8% bigger contact patch, depending on size and type of tyre. A flatter profile with bigger contact patch delivers more stability and enhanced road feedback, allowing tyres to respond quickly and precisely.




Increased stability and steering precision counteracts heel and toe wear, excellent cornering stability and precision, superior dry grip.



Multi Radius Tread (MRT)




MRT Designs employ ten different radii and are therefore more precise. Therefore we can guarantee highly effective pressure deployment on the road contact patch. The effect is smoother transition from straight to corner, leading to more precise and progressive reactions.




A clear benefit is a significantly better control over the evolution of the footprint in all driving conditions. MRT also offers outstanding dry AND wet handling, more control in cornering.

Maximum Flange Shield temperature range (MFS)




The Dunlop MFS (maximum  flange shield) system is a some kind of rim flange protection. A profile of rubber runs around the circumference of the tyre, located low on the side wall above the wheel flange creating a buffer zone.

Jointless Belt (JLB)




Jointless nylon bandage with 0° layer. This is a Hybrid Overlay Technology that guarantees very reduced circumferential deformation at high speed.

Tread compound mixed with nanoparticles of racing carbon black. This compound optimized with resin and polymer has proven excellent adhesion on dry and wet roadways in our motorsport tyres.
